See the wilderness --- by camel

Camels are the traditional form of transport of the Turkana, Pokot and Samburu people of Northern Kenya. Valued for centuries as the ideal safari vehicle, they are slow and steady of gait and offer a unique taste of the nomadic life, and a lofty view of the wilderness. Our three ‘ships of the desert', Patrick, Benja and Gran, were brought down from the harsh wilderness of the Kenya-Sudan border by their Somali handlers and offer the option of either a gentle walk around the area immediately outside the camp, or a leisurely stroll around the grounds. Photo opportunities are numerous and the activity is exceptionally child-friendly.

Timings: The ride takes around 45 minutes and the camels are available between 8 am and 5 pm.
