Attractions
The camp enjoys spectacular views over the alternately lush and golden plains towards the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

Because the Camp has its own private waterhole and saltlick, guests may enjoy unprecedented close encounters with the wildlife in the sanctuary of their natural habitat.

A trip to Ol Pejeta Conservancy would not be complete without a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya to see these endangered, yet highly intelligent animals. Owing to the ongoing destruction of the west and central African rainforest and continued demand for bush meat, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is compelled to provide a safe, secure and permanent refuge to 42 orphaned and abused chimpanzees from this region. Visitors can “adopt” chimpanzees upon visiting the Sanctuary. This means they can contribute towards the feeding, housing and day to care of the chimpanzees, in order to give them the life they deserve. There are two adoption packages on offer, one for $85 and one for $40. In return for their contribution visitors receive an adoption certificate and a gift.

Visit Morani, the friendly Black Rhino who was born in 1974. He was brought to Ol Pejeta after his mother was killed by poachers. He now lives in a large enclosure where he is taken care of day and night by trained security guards. Seeing Morani is an experience most visitors never forget.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the closest place from Nairobi to see "The Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo). It is also the Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa, boasting a population of 78 black rhino! Its other wildlife includes an exciting catalogue of; white rhino, giraffe, zebra, eland, oryx, waterbuck, Grant’s gazelle, Thompson’s gazelle, cheetah, silver-backed jackal, hartebeest and baboon. The conservancy also boasts several hundred bird species. Ol Pejeta Conservancy has the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya.

Lion Tracking
Visitors are offered a unique opportunity to spend a morning with Ol Pejeta Conservancy’s predator research team. Visitors can join a dedicated team that has hands on experience with a tracking device to get close up to these amazing creatures.

Diversions
Include both day and night game drives in our fleet of open-sided 4WD safari vehicles, bush walks in the company of our resident naturalist, bird-watching, camel-trekking, beauty treatments and a wide range of al fresco dining experiences.

Night game drives
an excellent way to spice up your nightlife in the wild!
Whether you wish to seek out the elusive nocturnal wildlife or behold the thrilling world of predators stalking their prey, a night game drive is a must.

The camp has a luxuriant swimming pool with its own poolside bar.

Conference facilities
The camp can be adapted to form an exclusive private conference centre with full communications and organizational backup and a wide range of delegate-tailored events.

Weddings
An exquisite wedding venue, Sweetwaters Tented Camp or Ol Pejeta House offer the ultimate blend of sublime location, superb catering, unique accommodation and "Out of Africa" mystique.
