Islamabad Serena Hotel: First hotel in Pakistan to Launch Braille menu to serve its visually impaired guests.
Islamabad Serena Hotel (ISH), under its Corporate Social Responsibility, observed International Day on December 03, 2010 in which apart from sharing the importance of this day with the theme "Keeping the promise: Mainstreaming disability in the Millennium Development Goals towards 2015 and beyond", ISH introduced Braille Menus for its visually impaired guests.
Tourism Promotion Services (Pakistan) Limited is a subsidiary of Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, S.A., Geneva (AKFED) and owns and manages a chain of deluxe hotels in Pakistan under the brand name “Serena”. Recently, the hotel was extended to double its size. It has 387 guest rooms and meeting facilities for over 3,000 people.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities 03rd December aims to promote a better understanding of disability issues with a focus on the rights of persons with disabilities. It also emphasizes the need for integration of persons with disabilities in to all aspects of the political, social, economic and cultural lives of their communities.
