Polana
Mar - Standard Room
Most of the Polana Mar’s Standard Rooms
open onto a verandah with a view of the Bay
of Maputo and the Indian Ocean. The setting,
in landscaped gardens, makes these twin rooms
a haven of peace and quiet.
Polana
Main Hotel - Studio Room
Looking out towards the attractive townscapes
of Maputo, with its broad avenues lined with
jacaranda and acacia trees, these are L-shaped
double rooms, designed for use by single travelers.
Polana
Main Hotel - Standard Room
Our Standard rooms in the Main Hotel have a
choice of views. When the rose garden is in
full bloom, nothing can compare to a room which
opens onto this vista of colour and scent. Those
who enjoy the architecture and lazy life of
Maputo may prefer to open their doors on a view
of the town, while guests who are here to drink
in the sea air will take delight in the wonderful
sea views available. The Standard Rooms have
extra space for a cosy sitting area and plus
all our standard facilities.
Polana
Main Hotel - Executive Room
Make your home-away-from-home in our Executive
rooms, each with a luxurious lounge area, with
a beautiful sofa and coffee table, forms part
of the open-plan room. Ask for an Executive
room with a fold-down sofa if you are travelling
with a child under 8 years of age. Executive
rooms offer the option of bathing or showering,
and all our standard facilities.
Polana
Main Hotel - Ambassador Suites
On the ground floor, these beautiful spacious
rooms with an open plan marble lounge area look
out towards the aquamarine sea or over the glorious
rose garden. Cool and peaceful, a haven from
tropical heat, these rooms offers the option
of bathing or showering, and all our standard
facilities.
Polana
Main Hotel - Executive Suite
Most of our executive suites have the luxurious
deep verandah characteristic of colonial architecture,
and this is the perfect place to dream away
an hour or two, iced drink in hand, as you gaze
out towards the sea.
A separate lounge and bedroom make you feel
that this is truly a home-from-home. For extra
convenience, comfort and privacy, some of the
executive suites have two bathrooms and two
entrances. Each room offers the option of bathing
or showering, and all our standard facilities.
Polana
Main Hotel - Presidential Suite
The pride of the Polana is the Presidential
Suite, in the heart of the hotel on the first
floor. The Presidential – so-called because
it is the natural choice of heads of state and
royalty, many of whom have stayed here in recent
years - has a magnificent view of the sea. As
befits a suite fit for a queen, it is geared
for entertaining in royal style, with a beautifully
decorated dining room area that can accommodate
up to 10 people, an adjacent kitchenette, and
a vast verandah which can take as many as 25
people for cocktails. The Presidential Suite
is luxury living, beyond five-star accommodation
– the lounge area is spacious, elegant
and plush, equipped with all the necessities
demanded by the most discerning and demanding
of travellers, including telephone/fax facilities,
TV and DVD machine, and an electronic safe.
The bathroom is an exercise in sheer luxury,
with a Jacuzzi to lounge in after a hectic day
of government business or royal sightseeing.
Guests of this calibre generally travel with
an entourage, whether security personnel, valets
or children, so the Presidential suite has a
communicating door to an Executive suite which
can accommodate them.
