Location & Direction
Khaplu is located in the eastern most part of Baltistan, with the Shyok River, a tributary of the Indus River dividing the valley into two halves.
By Air: PIA operates a Boeing 737 flight daily from Islamabad to Skardu (45 minutes).
By road: Khaplu is located at a two and a half hour’s drive from Skardu Airport (approximate distance is 103 km). Once you land at the Skardu Airport, our Airport shuttle service will transport you to the beautiful Khaplu Palace & Residence.
Access to Skardu by road via Gilgit is approximately 170 km, which is roughly a 5 hours drive along the Indus Gorge.
Gilgit is 573 km from Rawalpindi.
