Turn Points Into Rewarding Experiences

The Serena is definitely a very nice high-end hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff is amazing! Prossie at the breakfast buffet was delightful and greeted us with a smile every morning. The grounds are beautifully kept, with fountains and waterfalls. Two reasons I didn't give it a five star:
1-The service is way too slow, room service was actually quicker than ordering at the table! your best option is the buffet all the time, which will cost you especially if you don't have a big appetite.
2-I experienced a weird kind of discrimination at the security gate that I can't quite put a name to-everytime there was a "muzungu" (White person) in the vehicle we were waved through with hearty smiles and words of welcome. When it was just me(I'm a black Ugandan) or another national, the car was stopped, every door opened, the car was searched, we had to get out, get sprayed down with disinfectant, and photos were taken with the little device-EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Please. treat ALL your guests with respect!!

We stayed here for a couple of days when we first arrived in Uganda. About 40 minutes from Entebbe airport. Beautifully decorated, elegant lobby and rooms. Great service, large comfortable rooms, and food was excellent in the various restaurants. The perfect place to begin our visit to Uganda.

Thank you Serena hotel , and Art of living Uganda for 10/10 hospitality and welcome and comfort. The staff were impeccably and efficient. We were well catered for as vegetarians. We had the most memorable time❤
