Stayed at Lake Kivu Serena with 3 kids aged 9,6 and 3. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Food was good as expected of Serena. Comfortable beds. Fiston at the swimming pool helped my daughter better her swimming and even baby sat the 6 and 3 year olds through the children play area and the hotel beach. When my 3 year old son showed signs of illness, all staff were genuinely concerned and the hotel nurse quickly helped with painkillers and additional advice. Overall, a great stay, we had to extend by an extra night. Denyse, Aphrodice, Annette, Fidele, Henriette and Maridadi were all helpful during our stay. Herman, the GM was also always checking on us and resolving any issues. We will definitely be back

Decided to spoil myself after rough safaris to stay at Serena. As expected cannot go wrong, all A*, I have visited Serena properties in Tanzania and Kenya therefore aware of their high quality in standards and Kivu did not let me down. Excellent walk along the lake as well as outside going towards town. Keep it up, given the opportunity shall visit again.
