The shortly-to-be-opened Dushanbe Serena Hotel located on the main Rudaki Avenue in the centre of Dushanbe, which is both the capital of and the largest city in Tajikistan.
Dushanbe means ”Monday” in Tajik, which reflects the fact that the city developed on the site of several villages that were renowned for thriving Monday market. Overlooking the confluence of the Kofarnihon and Dushanbe rivers, the hotel has been designed to act as both a social and business hub.
