Sweetwaters Air Package

State of the art experience

Sweetwaters isn’t a place to stay- it’s a state of the art experience. On Monday, July 28th, 15 Argentines set foot on the lobby, and we left the next morning with 15 smiles. Despite the size of our group, each one of us remarked on the genuine and warm-hearted nature of the service. At dinnertime, knowing we had a birthday girl on the table, the whole kitchen staff filed out towards us in jovial song (and with a cake). Singing and dancing lasted 20 minutes! On that note, food options were diverse, delicious, and even made on the spot for us. Don’t get me started on the bed. Soft as a cloud and warmed up by a heating pad. Hard to beat! We can’t recommend Sweetwaters enough. Hope to see you again, Caroline!

Wonderful

Staying inside Ol Pejeta is always going to be an expensive option, but Sweetwaters offers the best value for money. The location is truly memorable - looking out over a busy waterhole. The staff are amazing - the manager sets the standard as regards approachability and efficiency, and this is reflected in all of his staff. The food is buffet style, but wonderful quality, huge variety, and something for everyone. Can't wait for our next visit.

Unique location - lots of animals

Very cool hotel located right near a watering hole. Saw many animals come up to the water both day and night. The tents were comfortable and was a unique experience to stay in them. Restaurant was nice with good selection of food.

Tented camp - wonderful

Stayed at Sweetwater tented camp twice and it is a highlight of the trip. Water hole right outside your tent and dining area. This makes for great animal viewing. Room was comfortable, beds comfy, bathrooms are sufficient, not wonderful, but doesn't detract for my enjoyment of this lodge. Food is decent. They offer an evening safari, which I went on this trip. The highlight was seeing lions in the eve. We spent close to an hour driving next to them. Some people in our group took a guided walk around the property to see botany, animals, etc. They loved it.

Impeccable

This is our second time staying at Serena properties, first time in Kenya. We booked directly with Serena, and continued to be amazed by their hospitality. This camp was situated nicely within the Ol Pejeta conservatory. We stayed for 2 nights. The tents were nicely furnished. The warm water bags on bed to keep warm is refreshing and may be something we would do at home :). Food remains excellent. Service is impeccable. The watering hole was amazing. We woke up with sounds to birds and looked outside to see zebras and waterbucks. In the evening it was young rhino chasing away the geinea fowl

Loved our stay!

Loved our stay! It's amazing to just sit outside your tent and watch the animals come and go at the watering hole. It was an adjustment to sleep with the noises of so many animals, but it's worth the trade! Also, they will put hot water bottles in your bed at night so don't get scared that it's an animal in your bed! The hotel does have a pool and jacuzzi, but we did not try them. The food at the buffets was all decent. Make sure you check out the night safari and the bush walk. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.
