On Sundays, savor a traditional Swahili breakfast featuring local delicacies such as mahamri, mbaazi in coconut, kaimati and fresh madafu.
Lunch showcases classic dishes, including rack of lamb with mint sauce and vibrant vegetarian platters. In the evening, enjoy a curated table d'hôte menu featuring soup, an entrée, dessert and a selection of cheeses with crackers, accompanied by fine Kenyan tea or coffee. This is an experience out of this world. Table set at the Lake’s shore, the bubbly breakfast with an array selection of our fittingly assorted menu items is the best way to start the day. Guests are escorted on a walk from the camp to the site. From the table, the abounding spectacle of birdlife and spectacular landscapes adds more effect to the product. On lucky days, guests have an up-close look at the buffaloes traversing the Eastern Arc of the Lake to their Western retiring grounds on such early hours.

Beginning at the camp, this one-hour walk meanders through Acacia thickets to the tranquil lakeshore , a rare opportunity to explore a designated Ramsar site and UNESCO World Heritage location.
Unlike game drives, the nature walk offers a deeper, more personal connection with the wild. Spot animal tracks, discover native plants and their traditional uses, and explore the area’s unique geology. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy expert insights on migratory species from Europe and Asia. With its diverse habitats, the walk is both enriching and unforgettable.
With over 450 bird species recorded in the conservancy, including flamingos and the endangered Great White Pelican, Lake Elmenteita is a true birder’s paradise. Guided by our resident naturalist, this walk along the lakeshore offers a chance to spot up to 60 species in a single outing.
