Step into Rwanda’s past at the Natural History Museum, known locally as Kandt House. Once home to German explorer Dr. Richard Kandt.Tthe museum showcases Rwanda’s rich natural heritage and tells the story of his 1897 expedition to trace the source of the Nile. Exhibits include expedition artifacts and a historic ship sunk in Lake Kivu during World War I.

Founded in 2007, the Nyamirambo Women’s Center empowers local women through education, job training, and income-generating opportunities.
Visitors can take guided walking tours led by women from the community, offering a unique glimpse into daily life in Nyamirambo. The centre also features a boutique showcasing handmade crafts created by graduates of its programmes.
