Fabulous Stay

Booked the Suite and it was fantastic. Beautiful large room and wide balcony over looking the watering hole. Walking into the lodge itself is quite spectacular, i wasn't actually expecting the watering hole to be there. Staff were as you'd expect at a Serena, fantastic.

Magical

When I booked a return to Kenya, 20 years after leaving, this was the one place I absolutely had to have on the itinerary and it did not disappoint. Kilaguni is a little bit of heaven, with its cavernous thatched dining room overlooking a constantly visited waterhole with mountains and the great Kilimanjaro as a back drop. It’s absolutely magical and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food was the best we have had all safari, and a huge shout out to chef Daniel for going above and beyond to ensure my coeliac daughter could eat almost anything - even gluten free pancakes for breakfast. This was the only lodge we have been too where Meg was catered for as well as the rest of the group. Huge thank you.

Kilaguni is the great place to stay

As (nearly) every review says, Kilaguni Safari Lodge is a great place to stay. We had two nights and we would agree 100%. We had a super time. Food delicious (especially the dhal, beans, chapatis, omelettes) - thank you to Mr Weru and his kitchen staff. Hospitality in the dining area superb - thank you Isaac, Priscilla, Alphonse amongst many others. Game drives beautiful - thank you Japheth. Help at reception very good - thank you, Dorothy plus others (they even arranged for us to be able to watch the Wimbledon men’s final live!). Easy to get to via train service to Mtito Andei from where we were picked up. Apart from the superb hospitality we experienced, the number of elephants we saw was magical and the lodge’s location by the watering hole could not be bettered. Asanteni sana!
