Spacious Tsavo West Accommodation
Constructed from volcanic stone and wood, the lodge offers 56 guest rooms, including five suites, all designed to showcase uninterrupted views of the captivating waterhole and the rolling Chyulu Hills. The rooms are spread across three wings: a two-storey block facing the waterhole, a cluster of stone cottages, and a private suite enclave.
Interiors blend natural textures with locally inspired details, creating calm, grounded spaces that reflect the wild beauty outside.

The Kilaguni Suite offers the most elevated vantage point at the lodge, with sweeping views of both the waterhole and the Chyulu Hills. Historically a favoured lookout for the infamous man-eating lions of Tsavo, Lion Rock now serves as an exclusive breakfast setting for guests. This volcanic outcrop rises above the plains, offering panoramic views of Tsavo West.
Guests depart early from the lodge for a gentle game drive and arrive to a full English breakfast laid out on the summit, an unforgettable way to start the day in the wild.

Sundowners on Lion Rock
An iconic safari tradition, the sundowner traces its roots to the glamorous safaris of the 1920s. At Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, this timeless ritual begins with an evening game drive and ends atop Lion Rock, just as the sky fades into golden hues.
Guests are welcomed with full bar service and cocktail snacks, all set against sweeping views of Tsavo West. Musical entertainment can be arranged on request. As night falls, you return to the lodge in time for dinner, refreshed and inspired by the wild.

Bush Dinner Under the Acacia Trees
Experience an unforgettable evening under the stars, just steps from the lodge in a secluded grove of acacia trees. Begin with cocktails around a glowing campfire, followed by a lantern-lit bush barbecue featuring freshly grilled meats, seasonal vegetables, and vibrant salads.
As you dine, enjoy live cultural performances by Maasai morans or Akamba drummers, complete with traditional songs, chants, and dance.
