Untamed Adventures with Serena Hotels

It was a truely wonderful experience

My wife and I stayed four nights. We took two all day game drives with a box lunch and a half day game drive that began with an early morning balloon flight over the western Serengeti. We visited in mid July and the great migration had already moved to the northern Serengeti for the Mara River crossing. However, there was ample non-migrating wildlife including herds of wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, giraffes and lions, cheetah, hippos, large crocs and many other animals. The camp sits in an elevated position with a view of the Serengeti. The staff at the camp provided outstanding service and the food was delicious. The meals are family style with a wide selection. Our guide, Elli, is one of the few female Serengeti guides. Elli did an excellent job locating wildlife and is a warm, friendly lady who was great company on the game drives. This was our fourth safari trip to Tanzania, but the first visit to Kirawira Serena camp. We enjoyed our stay

A wonderful stay surrounded by not only the breathtaking view of the Serengeti but a welcoming and attentive staff. Our stay was pleasurable and relaxing - I thoroughly recommend people to make the extra distance, you won’t be disappointed!

One of the older camps in Serengeti and on the western side of the park, which is a lot quieter than the main central area. Very friendly, personable and helpful staff, who made an effort to learn and remember all our names. The tents are spacious, secure, and the views are amazing. Good food, great service, peaceful location. We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay.
