Safari Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival Dar es Salaam
Met on arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport by our Representative and transfer to Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel where you have been booked on a bed and breakfast basis for the night.
Overnight at Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel
Day 2 – Fly to Selous Game Reserve/Julius Nyerere National Park
After breakfast in the Hotel, you shall be transferred to Julius Nyerere International Airport (Terminal #1) for your scheduled flight to Selous/ Julius Nyerere National Park.
On arrival at Stigler’s Airstrip in the Selous, you will be met by your Safari Driver Guide and transfer to our lodge, Serena Mivumo River Lodge with game viewing drive enroute.
After check-in and refreshing up, you will have an opportunity/session with your dedicated Safari Guide to tailor your activities program.

Days 3&4 – Selous Game Reserve /Julius Nyerere National Park
Full days on safari in the magnificent Selous, you have a unique opportunity to experience everything that this vast and legendary reserve has to offer!
On one of the evenings enjoy a Boat Safari – Exploring the different channels of the Rufiji River system, surrounded by hippos and crocodiles, is the experience of a lifetime! A “water birding” opportunity with a large variety of herons, storks, ducks, stilts & other water birds likely to be observed.
Fishing Expedition on Rufiji River! There are plenty of interesting fish to catch, such as the Big Catfish or Vundu, maybe you can beat the Selous Game Reserve record of 49 KG. Or Triggerfish, or just the small Squeakers! Celebrate your fishing experience with Sundowners on the river banks as the sun goes down in the horizon.

Day 5 – Fly to Zanzibar From Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast, you shall be transferred to Stigler’s Airstrip for your morning flight departing to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival, you will be met with our representative and transferred to Zanzibar Serena Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6 – Zanzibar Island
Spend a full day in Zanzibar.

Enhance your stay with unforgettable experiences. Explore the historic charm of Stone Town and its vibrant spice markets or take a guided spice farm tour to discover the island’s aromatic heritage. Sail to Prison Island to meet giant tortoises, relax on the stunning Nakupenda Sandbank, and dive into turquoise waters at Mnemba Atoll for world-class snorkelling. For a perfect ending, enjoy a sunset dhow cruise and indulge in fresh seafood by the ocean.
Day 7 – Departure
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your homebound flight.
