The Maisha Mind, Body & Spirit Spa in Mombasa, Kenya, is one of only three establishments in Africa to belong to the respected International Spa Association, which sets the standards for global compliance with authentic spa practices.

The Spa features a fitness studio offering cardiovascular and isotonic machines as well as free weights, tennis and squash courts and a stunning swimming pool. Within the main body of the resort are two Bedouin-style beachfront spa massage tents and an open-air space, where daily ‘Body Renewal' classes (‘Body Sculpture and Tone, Yoga, Martial arts and Ayurvedic regimes) are held. Adjacent to the spa, there is also a hair and beauty salon.

Highly qualified therapists are on hand to advise you on nutrition, body detox, slimming, body shape and sculpture, Ayurvedic doctrines, workout regimes, skin care and rejuvenation and holistic body care. We maintain detailed treatment records for all our clients and are delighted to prepare therapy schedules for use both in the spa and when you return home. 

Our 24-hour room service menu features a broad range of spa cuisine and spa bar choices. Perfumed candles, incense and meditation cushions can be furnished at an instants notice. Additionally, spiritual books may be borrowed from our library and fragranced candle-lit spa baths can be run in your room.

The spa has been built to precise eco-specifications using natural materials and uniquely local artistic talents. Many of our treatments are made from locally sourced ingredients gathered from the beach and forest. Our retail range includes handmade candles, incense, beadwork and gift items, which are made in cooperation with local community groups. We also believe in nurturing the environment that surrounds us, welcoming guests to participate in our turtle protection and release programme as well as programmes at our butterfly centre.
