Perched on a hilltop in the Serengeti’s Western Corridor, Kirawira Serena Camp blends Edwardian-era safari romance with the wild beauty of the plains.
Balloon Safari at Kirawira Serena Camp
A balloon safari offers one of the most unforgettable ways to experience the Serengeti. Begin your journey before dawn with coffee or tea before transferring to the launch site, where you will witness the magnificent balloon being inflated.
As the sun rises, drift silently over the vast plains, passing over hippo pools along the Grumeti River and observing wildlife roaming freely below. The flight lasts approximately 45 minutes and is guided by an experienced pilot before a gentle landing on the open savannah.
Celebrate your landing with a glass of champagne and receive a personalised flight certificate. The experience concludes with a traditional bush breakfast, freshly prepared on the balloon burners and served in the wilderness, followed by a relaxed game drive back to camp.
